ran OlyMusic.com from 2002-2008, and blogged about musical experiences in and around Olympia, WA.
This evening I heard 3 shows, in part.
The first was Mudcat's group at the Iron Rabbit. Amazing music. Takes me to another level. Love it. Want a album.
Then, to the Marina, Tugboat Annie's. Heard Sour Owl and the Toadmen from Outer Space. Truly awesome big sound. 2 saxes, trumpet, bass, drums, guitars. So sweet.
Then, somebody told me that at the Eastside, the Blackberry Bushes were playing the last show with Cera Impala, and I knew I couldn't miss that, so I went to the Eastside to hear the beautiful harmonies. Got 2 albums, "Creatures of Habit", from the Blackberry Bushes, and Head for the Hills Bluegrass Band, "Live at Winston".
Good to see old friends and hear some of my favorite sounds.
There have been several shows that I've neglected to Blog about, until now, including The Well Beings at Le Voyeur a few months ago, which touched my heart,
and Jason Webley at the Capital Theater, which was mind blowing.
Blessings, Love, Good Vibrations.
Peace.
