ran OlyMusic.com from 2002-2008, and blogged about musical experiences in and around Olympia, WA.
Tonight I felt like going downtown to have a beer and hear some music. I went first to Le Voyeur, where I heard Armonikos, from Bellingham. They reminded me of Phish. I enjoyed it, and would have stayed for their whole set if I hadn't known One Nation Undereducated was playing at McCoys. I headed over to McCoys after a while, and O.N.U. was setting up. Tracy gave me a One Nation Undereducated T-Shirt, cuz he said I've been to so many of their shows. It's sweet. Black, with white writing, O.N.U. in sign language, and the URL
http://myspace.com/onenationundereducated. I had a good time listening. Rupert adds a lot on the harmonies and keyboard. Good times. Check 'em. Then I went back to Le Voyeur to hear
Audiosattva. They recently added to the bands page, so I had heard some of their music on myspace, and I decided it would be fun to catch 'em live, which was a big part of why I headed for Le Voyeur first tonight. What I caught was good soulful stuff. I look forward to hearing more.
Rock on Olympia!
